Biography

Susanne Bauer has graduated in chemistry and medicine, completed his/her PhD at the age of 32 years from Heidelberg University, Germany. She specialized in gynecology and holds a Master of Public Health. For 30 years she is working as a consultant for the German Public Health Insurance (federal level). Besides translating DRGs into German, one of her numerous tasks was the obstetric input for negotiations with the Midwives’ Associations. She became a board member of their quality assurance society.
